Well, it's been a year-and-a-half in the making....My 3rd new CD is FINALLY done! And I for one, am very excited about it. Once again, it's been released under "The J.Derrickson Project". This one is entitled "The Blues In Me". This CD consists of all original blues tunes. After releasing two R&B CD's, I thought I'd take a stab at writing some blues. Ironically, everyone who has heard the new CD, seem to be in agreement that maybe I've found my songwriting "niche", so-to-speak. Maybe!!!! I certainly do share one other opinion that's been prevalent....It is by far, my best work to-date. It's an album that I truly believe in, and think that whether you're into the blues or not, it's an enjoyable and fun listen. Also, I have had the pleasure of working with a new band. We are a 5 piece band called "The Next Faze". We play mostly old & new school dance covers, along with a touch of reggae, rock and country. We also include some of our own material in the shows. It is a high quality band that has gotten rave reviews from those who have heard and seen us.
