Ok...So I know I've been promising, threatening, claiming, making excuses, etc. Well, believe-it-or-not...The new CD is FINALLY done! And I for one, am very excited about it. Once again, it's been released under "The J.Derrickson Project". This one is entitled "Listen". It includes a wide variety of head-bobbing, lyrically clever, diverse grooves. The title track is a powerful reggae-flavored tune, addressing a couple of serious societal issues. A touch of blues is added to the collection with the track, "Pawn Shop Blues". Also featured is the song "You Turn Me On". This was the very first song I'd ever written, originally recorded by one of my past bands, "Powerhouse", back in 1982.
Please go to my "New CD" page to preview some of the songs, and for purchase options. As on the first CD, they will be $10. I've had friend tell me that this price is too low. But for me, it's more about sharing my music, than making money. So I choose to keep the cost down, under the price of most CD's.
Also, because of the time I've been investing in finishing this project, my live performances have thinned out a bit. Now that it's done, I'll be booking once again at some of my old venues, as well as looking to get into a few new one. So keep an eye on my "Performance Dates" page for new dates and venues.
